Buying Products for Home Building and Remodeling in 2024

NAHB Priced-Out Estimates for 2025

NAHB’s latest priced-out analysis shows that housing affordability remains a critical issue, with nearly 75% of U.S. households unable to afford a median-priced new home in 2025. 

Cost of Constructing a Home in 2024

The most recent Construction Cost survey (conducted in the fall of 2024 by NAHB) shows that, on average, 64.4% of the sales price of a new home is due to construction costs and 13.7% to finished lot costs.
