




With the end of 2011 approaching, the contributors of NAHB’s Eye on Housing thought it would be useful to take a look at the updates that attracted the most readers over the last year.
In December we looked at the size of homes, and the number of occupants per home, by various geographic locations. The data indicate that home sizes – measured on a per occupant basis – are remarkably similar across the country. In other words, stereotypical suburban homes are larger because they contain more people.
